Please remember we are 100% foster based and our ability help is based upon finding a foster which meets the needs of the animal we’ve been asked to assist. So, if at all possible, we encourage owners to consider “fostering” their own animal while we search for a new family; during this time we will ask that you continue day to day care, along with being available to transport them to the vet for their medical treatment and be available for their photos to be taken.
Owner Surrenders
We understand that there are times when a family can no longer keep their pets for a variety of reasons and do our absolute best to assist in rehoming them when we can!
Please note:
The pet MUST be friendly and have no bite history or history of violence. (Remember we are foster based and cannot risk the safety of our fosters)

Operation "OOPS"
Operation “OOPS” allows owners to surrender unplanned litters (cat or dog) to APARC so that they’ll be fully vetted and adopted out into loving homes, all while spaying the mother free of charge to the family to prevent anymore unexpected litters. It is a community driven initiative meant to tackle pet overpopulation while keeping adult pets within their current families and preventing further unplanned litters in the home. Additionally, this initiative helps prevent all breeding among the offspring and safeguards young puppies from possible abandonment or health risks like diseases, lack of proper vet care, or even potential death from parasites.
First of all EVERYONE qualifies for Operation OOPS, we are not here to shame anyone over an unplanned litter, we simply want to prevent anymore.
So how does it work?
1.) Reach out to us as early as possible in regards to a litter you need assistance with, and fill out a surrender form. Please be sure to include the FULL number of animals in the litter, along with their age, and photos so we can begin the process of finding fosters for when they’re old enough to leave their mother.
*If you will need our support with food and supplies for the pups prior to them turning 8 weeks, we will require a contract be signed that if you give any animals from the litter away you will be required to reimburse the rescue for the costs of all supplies provided.
2.) Be ready to work with us regarding scheduling a spaying appointment for the mother. We will cover the cost of surgery, any additional medical work required (ie heartworm testing, pain medication, flea treatment ect) will be your responsibility.

Shelter Dogs
We from time to time works with shelters to help dogs that are struggling in a kennel environment, medical issues, or are too young! We would love to assist more with this cause in the future.
If you are with a shelter and have a dog who you believe we could assist with please reach out and we will do our best to assist!

Strays
We also accept stray animals, typically dogs, from time to time if we have a foster! These animals must be held 14 days and publicly posted in order to attempt to find their owners before we will consider rehoming them following their being thoroughly vetted.
If you have a stray you would like us to help with please reach out and we will do our best to assist you.
